About

Nicolette Owen spent much of her youth outdoors, gardening and learning about flowers from her mother and grandmother in her Hudson Valley hometown, where she cultivated an enduring appreciation for the elemental shapes, colors and textures that occur in nature.

After graduating from Sarah Lawrence and beginning a career in photography, Nicolette returned to her original bent, launching her own floral design company in 2006. Her style emphasizes grace, movement and the delicate blending of colors that evoke images of the natural garden and uphold a sense of wild spontaneity.

Nicolette Camille Floral Design, based in Brooklyn, offers custom florals for weddings, special events and styling. Nicolette also teaches at Brooklyn’s Little Flower School, which she co-founded, and her work has been widely featured in such publications as Martha Stewart Living, Real Simple, Brides, Domino, Vogue.com, The New York Times, New York Magazine, House Beautiful, Veranda and Elle Décor. Nicolette’s first book collaboration, Bringing Nature Home, was released by Rizzoli in April 2012.
